Ewijk Bridge

ABES Engineers were commissioned by Kinkel+Partner to perform wind dynamic analyses for two interacting cable-stay bridge decks.

A new bridge in parallel and in close proximity to an existing bridge had been designed.

The investigation performed by ABES included single-mode and multi-mode aeroelastic stability checks for various constellations with and without noise barriers including interaction between the two bridges.

Furthermore, various serviceability checks for the two interacting structures under wind loading were performed.

ABES crossWind was used to model all described tasks based on modal information provided by the client.
